Jurnal Bioshell menerima dan menerbitkan artikel dalam bentuk penelitian dan kajian (artikel ilmiah) di bidang pendidikan biologi dan pemanfaatan penelitian biologi dalam proses belajar mengajar. Semua artikel diterbitkan dalam bahasa Indonesia dan menjalani proses penilaian sejawat. Abstract

A study aimed at obtaining the right concentration of nutrient solution for the growth of mustard varieties with DFT hydroponics system has been implemented from December 2016 to February 2017 at Greenhouse of Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Jember.The research method used is factorial, consisting of 2 factors namely factor I is the concentration of nutrient solution consisting of 3 levels those are N1: 1000 ppm, N2: 1200 ppm and N3: 1400 ppm and factor II is varieties of mustard consisting of 3 levels namely, V1: Pagoda (Brassica rapa Japanese Group), V2: Green (Brassica rapaParachinensis Group), and V3: Pakcoy (Brassica rapa Chinensis Group).The data were analyzed by Analysis of Variance (Anova) with post hoc test Duncan 5%.The results showed that the concentration of 1,400 ppm gave the best growth effect to all tested varieties of mustard, but not significantly different compare to concentration of 1.200 ppm on Green variety. Keywords: mustard varieties, DFT hydroponics, nutrient consentration.

Abstract

This study aims to determine differences in the effectiveness of the juice and decoction of the leaves Ageratum conyzoides L. against Trichophyton rubrum growth. This study is the experimental category. Experiments using completely randomized design (CRD) with three replications and analyzed to determine differences Barriers Minimum Concentration (MIC). The study was conducted in vitro using the method of dilution and methods holes or pitting. Results of the study will be analyzed by ANOVA Test, Duncan and T-Test. Based on the test results of the analysis concludes the difference in effectiveness between the juice and decoction of the leaves Ageratum conyzoides L. Ageratum conyzoides L. leaf Freshly have inhibitory to the growth of the fungus Trichophyton rubrum and (MIC) while the stew is not only on the leaves Freshly Ageratum conyzoides L. Concentration barriers minimum (MIC) Preliminary test (UP) at concentrations of 50% inhibition zone with a diameter of 1.1 cm, while the final test (UA) minimum obstacle concentration (MIC) at a concentration of 40% with a mean diameter of 1.61 cm inhibition zone.Keywords: Ageratum conyzoides L., effectiveness, MIC, Trichophyton rubrum

Abstract

The development of information technology has influenced the use of various types of media as a tool in the learning process. Based on the observation of biology learning process,it is explained that many students who didn’t do the homework and follow the biology lesson while learning process run in the classroom which difficult to learn biology and the language within it difficult to understand were the reason of them, that way the average of student learning outcomes are still low below the standards of KKM values. So researchers used Macromedia flash application as an interactive media to improve the student learning outcomes. This research used Classroom Action Research with data obtained using quantitative data derived from the test of learning outcomes and qualitative data obtained from classroom teacher interviews, document archives and student questionnaires. This research used the purposive technique with the respondent in 22 students. Based on the results of the students' assessment on cycle 1 and cycle 2 decided the grade average increased from 75 to 84.2 %,meanwhile the completion of classical learning increased from 81% to 100% and the result of classical student percentage analysis has 68% with good enough criteria. Based on both of comparison can be concluded that macromedia flash can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Educations  is very important  to make a good or bad  of  individual innormative. Learn is a work or activites that apose to turn persons, also in turning behavior, attitudes, traditions, knowledges, and skill. This research attempts to increasing the activity of student learning to learn the matter of moving system  in plants on the Inquiry model. Type of research is use classroom actions research (CAR). The procedure use a cycle model, based on the result of research data showed 43,2% of student learning activity on the first cycle and 86% on the second cycle. While in the learning outcomes of students on the first cycle showed 46% and 81% on the second cycle. This case proves that the activity and learning outcomes of students can  increase by Inquiry model, make students think and  be active in the process of intelectual activity and learning experiences is something meaningfull in real life, tested by experimenting to answer questions that real, conclude hypotesis and conclusions.Keywords: Model  Inquiry Learning, Learning Activity

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa Semester IV Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Islam Jember pada matakuliah SPT II melalui tugas analisis pustaka. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa  yang sedang menempuh mata kuliah SPT II. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan rubrik penilaian keterampilan berpikir kreatif. Analisis data menggunakan rumus rata-rata yang diberlakukan untuk menghitung data hasil analisis pustaka. Analisis data menunjukkan rata-rata nilai keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa pada siklus I sebesar 59,75 dan pada siklus II sebesar 62,90. Dari hasil penelitian ini, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran mata kuliah SPT II dengan menerapkan analisis pustaka dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa. Kata kunci: Analisis pustaka, keterampilan berpikir kreatif

Abstract

Achievement of targeted learning in the course must be in accordance with the competence of graduates specified in the Indonesian National Qualification Framework (KKNI), so that to make it happen required learning methods that can build the competence. The result of observation, the students are still less uniform in the mastery of proven concepts in the discussion and question and answer are not many who convey the idea of understanding. Based on the observations need to apply Reciprocal Teaching (RT) through Lesson study (LS). The purpose of this research is to know the improvement of students' cognitive learning outcomes and the implementation of RT teaching methods through LS. The sample used in this research is the students of State University of Malang Semester III Offering C-C and C-F with the number of students 31 people, consisting of 3 men and 28 women. Application of Reciprocal Teaching through LS is implemented for 3 LS cycles, each cycle consisting of plan, do and see stages. The results showed that the learning of Reciprocal Teaching through LS able to increase the average of cognitive learning result of student equal to 84,35 with 100% classical completeness. Abstract

Development is the main activity of the educational process. Reseaches conducted observations in class VII SMP Al Maufi Tempurejo and obtained data about 65% show the value of student < 70. The reseaches want to know the usec comic media through the model of learning CIRC to improve learning outcomes on ecosystem material. The type of research used is classroom action research (CAR). The procedure used is the cycle model. Based on the results of classical completeness of students in first cycle on 76,6% and the second cyrcle on 91%. While the results of student repetition in first cycle obtained an average of 71,60 and in second cycle of 80,29%. It proves that student learning outcomes can increase with the use of media comic through the learning model CIRC.
